The Civil War is often defined by the soldiers and politicians leading the way. However, what is often forgotten are the contributions of the women, especially the women of Ohio. Come learn about the major roles Ohioan women held during the Civil War, including supporting the Union monetarily, and leading the charge on bringing women in as nurses and caretakers for the soldiers.
Join Walsh History Professor, Dr. Kelly Selby to learn more about the vital role women played in the Civil War. She will be speaking Tuesday, August 26th at 6:30pm in the Massillon Public Library’s Auditorium. This is a free event, and all are welcome.
